Visual Minutes: Creating Characters

Julia Miranda's visual minutes – which are peppered with overheard snippets – artfully captured the development workshop with students from Stepney All Saints School. The minutes include some wise words from Frank Creber – “There’s a direct connection between your mind and the pencil on the paper”, “Leaving some details out can allow viewers to fill in the gaps” – and plenty of encouragement too. And the workshop activities dovetailed neatly into coursework the students had been undertaking on drawing groups of people. As one student remarked at the end of the session, “I just love drawing.”
