Development Workshops: Fabrics and Food

A huge thank you to Hanna Filfilan and the children at Blue Gate Fields Junior School for hosting two mural development workshops for us over recent weeks. In the first session, the children focused on fabrics, inspired by a selection of colourful swatches. They painted bold patterns and crayoned clothing cut-outs to stick on the giant poster. And in the second session, they turned to fruit, vegetables and breads – capturing in their artworks a veritable harvest festival of different shaped and coloured foods – from cabbages and kodu to coconuts and challah bread – sourced from local shops and markets. The children and staff team were a delight to work with, from start to finish.
